View Student Portfolios

This guide explains how to access and navigate student portfolios within the platform. The Student Portfolios feature provides access to student-related artifacts organized by category.

Step 1: Access the page

  1. First access the Portfolio section by clicking on the hamburger menu item. See image above
  2. Next click on the + button, to expand the Portfolio section.

  3. Then click on “View student portfolios” link from the Portfolio section. Once you click on this link, you are taken to the Student Portfolios page.

Step 2: Navigation

  • Home Button (Top Left): Takes you back to the dashboard.
  • Breadcrumb (San Marcos Campus > Student Portfolios): Shows your current location in the portal.

Step 3: Student Portfolios Page

This page displays a list of all students assigned to your center. Next to each student's name, you will see the number of artifacts associated with them, offering a quick snapshot of their portfolio activity.

Step 4: Viewing a Specific Student's Portfolio

  • Select a student: Click on the name of the student whose portfolio you wish to view.
  • Using Breadcrumb Navigation: Once inside a student's portfolio, you will see a breadcrumb trail at the top of the page, indicating your current location within the portal. This breadcrumb helps you track where you are and allows easy navigation back to previous sections by clicking on any part of the path.

👉 Example: San Marcos Campus > Declan DeSantis’s Portfolio

  • Portfolio Categories: Folders organized by content type. Click on any folder to view its contents. Each folder contains relevant documents tied to that category.

👉 Example: Student Portfolio – Lesson Plans

👉 Example: Student Portfolio – Pictures

👉 Example: Student Portfolio – Newsletter

👉 Example: Student Portfolio – View All

Note:

  • Use the "View All" folder to get a comprehensive overview of the student’s portfolio in one place.
  • The artifact count on the main Student Portfolios page helps prioritize students with more records to review.
  • Utilize breadcrumb navigation to move quickly between student portfolios or return to the campus overview.
