This guide explains how to fill out each section of the Create a New Family Account form. IMPORTANT: The primary parent defined here will be designated as the payor of this new account for invoicing purposes.
Step 1: Access the Form
- First access the Account Management section by clicking on the hamburger menu item. See image above.
- Next click on the + button, to expand the Account Management section.
- Then click on “Create a new family account” link from the Account Management section. Once you click on this link, you are taken to the account creation page.
Step 2: Fill in Primary Parent/Guardian Information
This section is required. Enter the details for the primary parent or guardian.
- Where did parent hear about us?
- Select from the dropdown list (e.g., Friend, Online, Google, Flyer, Facebook, Other).
- Salutation
- Choose the appropriate option (Mr., Mrs., Ms., Dr., etc.).
- First Name
- Enter the legal first name.
- Middle Initial
- Optional. Enter only one letter if applicable.
- Last Name
- Enter the legal last name.
- Relationship
- Select the relationship to the child (e.g., Mother, Father, Guardian).
- Marital Status
- Choose from the dropdown (Single, Married, Divorced, etc.).
- Email
- Enter a valid email address (e.g., name@email.com).
- Mobile Phone
- Enter the phone number including area code (e.g., 123-456-7890).
- Enable SMS Opt-in
- Below the mobile phone, locate the SMS Opt-in checkbox (see image below).
✔️ Check the box to agree to receive SMS notifications. Leaving the box unchecked means you will not receive text message updates.

- Make sure your phone number is correct since this will be used for SMS updates.
- Choosing to receive SMS is optional but recommended for timely updates.
Step 3: Select Billing Address
- Choose either:
- Home – Billing will use the home address.
- Work – Billing will use the work address.
Step 4: Choose Bill Schedule Type
- Select from the dropdown list (e.g., Fixed). This is the DEFAULT, and only this should be chosen.
Step 5: Enter Home Address (Required)
Fill out all required fields marked with *.
- Care Of – Optional. If applicable, enter the name of another person receiving mail.
- Street – Enter the street address.
- Apartment – Optional. Enter apartment or unit number if applicable. NOTE: Do not include the “Apt” or “Unit” prefix, the system automatically adds Apt. as the prefix.
- City – Enter the city name.
- State – Enter the state/province.
- Country – Defaults to US. Change if needed.
- Zip Code – Enter the postal/zip code.
- Home Phone – Enter a valid phone number with area code.
Step 6: Enter Work Address (Optional)
Only required if billing is set to “Work” or if you want to provide work details.
- Company Name – Enter the employer’s company name.
- Street – Enter work street address.
- Suite – Enter suite or office number if any.
- City – Enter city of the workplace.
- State – Enter state/province.
- Country – Defaults to US.
- Zip Code – Enter work postal/zip code.
- Work Phone – Enter the office phone number including extension if applicable.
Step 7: Military/Veteran Information (Optional)
- Check the box Eligible for military/veteran discount if applicable.
- In the text box, list the documents used to determine eligibility (e.g., Military ID, DD214).
NOTE: Checking this box and filling the accompanying text is an attestation that the military credentials of the parent were verified in order provide a military discount to the families. Currently, each child enrolled in the family benefits from a % military veteran discount on the parent portion of the fees. The percentage is a system configurable amount. - If the box is checked, and the Military Veteran discount is verified, then the account detail page adds an additional information about the account. NOTE: The discount only applies when this box is checked for the primary parent, and does not apply for other parents.
Step 8: Finalize the Form
- Review all entered information for accuracy.
- At the bottom of the page:
- Click Cancel if you do not want to continue.
- Click Continue to proceed with account creation.
- Once you click Continue, the system takes the user to a page which creates an invitation with login credentials for the account being created. To learn more about this page, refer to Login Invitation section
Login Invitation
This login invitation page, is a printable page that can be copied and provided to the parent. The credentials provided here, allow a parent to login to the iBlum App, (a mobile app) to stay connected with the facility, and participate in their child’s journey at the facility. Instructions are provided in the invitation.
Upon clicking on Next Step button, the parent is taken to the Account Detail Page.
Account Detail Page
Once an account is created and the login invitation is created, the portal automatically advances you to the account detail page.
Details about this page will be shared in a separate document.
Viewing SMS Opt-in in Your Account
Next to your Mobile Phone number, you will see a mobile phone symbol .
- This indicates that you have chosen to receive SMS notifications.
- If the symbol does not appear, SMS Opt-in is not enabled.
- This option is available both when creating a new account and when updating an existing account.
- You can stop receiving SMS at any time by updating your account details and unchecking the SMS Opt-in box.
The above panel shows up on the account details page if the primary (bill to) parent has a military/veteran box checked.
✅ Tips for Accuracy and maintaining a good system:
- Ensure that this family is not already in the system, before you embark on creating an account. This is accomplished by searching for said account by typing their name in the search bar. Refer to the section on “Searching for people or accounts in a given facility”. Only create this family if they have not been previously created in the system.
- Double-check spelling of names and email address. Accuracy of this information is vital to ensure that future communication is possible
- Ensure phone numbers include area codes.
- Use official mailing addresses to avoid billing issues, i.e. ensure accuracy of postal codes, street numbers and street addresses.
