Account Detail Page – Add a Parent

Add Parent Page This document explains the Add Parent Page and how to use it for managing parents/guardians.

Step 1: Locate the Account

At the top of the page, you’ll see the navigation path (breadcrumbs):

  • Use this path to confirm you are in the correct account.
  • Click the earlier steps (e.g., Accounts) to go back.

 

Step 2: Review Parent/Guardian Information

In the Parents / Guardians box:

  • You’ll see the name, address, and phone numbers of the guardian.
  • Ensure that this is the account to which you will add a second parent

 

Step 3: Add Parent

🔘 + Add a Parent: Use this button to add another parent/guardian.

The following screen appears where you

  1. Fill in the parent name and contact information
  2. If the additional parent/guardian resides in the primary parent’s place, then you can simply select the ‘same as primary’ check box and save, and you are done.
  3. Alternatively, you may fill the complete address of the additional parent if they happen to live in different residences.

Once you add a secondary parent the account detail page changes thus:

 

Step 4: Create login for Additional Parent

The above screen shows a Create Login button, that allows you to create another login credential for this additional parent.

  1. Clicking on this button allows you to creates a login invitation for this parent and the secondary login invitation credential and password looks as per below. NOTE: Secondary login ID (User ID) for a parent is the account number followed by a ‘dash’ (minus sign) and followed by additional digits. To login, the additional parent must type in the User ID exactly as displayed.
  2. Print or copy the credentials and provide it to the secondary parent.



The account detail page now changes to show that the additional parent now has a login name (or login ID or user ID). See screenshot below.

 

Best Practices

  • Always confirm you are in the correct account before making changes.
  • Keep all parent contact details up to date.
  • IMPORTANT: - If an additional parent is no longer associated with the family, and they have a login ID, immediately Reset account password for that parent, so that they can no longer have access to the child’s info or other info on the App.
  • Document changes when adding parents/students.
